Navel new EP & 7Inch out on 28-09
“We Rock, We Don’t Roll” -
This second single, “Vomting” arrives on stage and on their upcoming album length CD release with incredible impact and destructive power, which seemed forgotten in the era of discorock. At the same time “Vomiting” separates the band from old heroes. It bucks, stinks like mud on the fender and inspires one to yell and puke.
The B-side, a cover version from Townes Van Zandt “Our mother The Mountain” (1969) - a beautiful country blues tune, shows that Navel is more than just wild, young and beautiful. They have the understanding of the big gesture of Rock and Roll and a unique sensitivity for the blues.
The recordings of the two songs are from Jari Altermatt himself and were mixed by Patrik Majer (Wir sind Helden) in Berlin.
The mad success of this single (blah,blah.blah) shortens the waiting time for Navel’s first album length CD , promised in March 2008. So small, so round yet so evil! And because the first 7inch “Forsaken Speech” sold out so fast, it will be on the CD, too!
